Why is mask wearing not being continued on public transport ? This seems like a poor decision. I will still be wearing one as buses are busy and people are literally sat right next to you. I have challenged First Bus about this. Awaiting their reply

Exactly - they can't do anything about the govts decision! And even if their 8 made it a comforting of carriage themselves, they cannot deny service for reasons that amount to discrimination, so the second any one utters the words "I am exempt" there's nothing Arriva can do, because the govt made it such that they cannot ask further! This is nothing to do with the bus company at all, and everything to do with the govt!

Like TFL, they could decide to recommend them.
As a private company, they can do what they like, but I wish they'd taken the same stance as TFL did.

They can't enforce it though. It was hard enough to enforce it when it was mandatory. Once that restriction changed to advice how can the bus company enforce it.
