A T & T question

My 18 year old DS has tested positive so we are both self isolating for 10 days. However, I have had countless texts and emails from track and trace asking him to give them details of those he's been in contact with. Now, we have told people the situation but u really don't feel comfortable giving T & T other peoples details. Can I just ignore these messages? I don't think it's a legal requirement but can't find a definitive answer.

I think you have a duty too so they can contact and make sure they are actually isolating?

@Mammyloveswine I've told people who need to know so we've done our duty in that sense so I'm not worried about that, just wanting to know if it's a legal requirement to give them the details.

If they’re not officially told to self isolate could it be difficult for them to do so? Eg work paying them to isolate even though there is no official need?
