What time is the announcement today please?

The BBC website just says "later today"!

I know, that's what I got when I googled... Just wondered if anyone had more detailed info...

Reckon it’ll be at 5 as usual but we’ll have to wait for it to be confirmed

Grrr.... Leave fr work at 4:30 and was hoping to catch it live. 🙄 Don't even know why really. Maybe just looking to break the days up....

They’ve not said. I’ll be at work but TBF it’s always easier and quicker to wait until after it and get a summary from the news.

Dont they normally discuss it in Parliament first? Might hear something on that channel around 12-2

Isn’t there normally a leak? One of the papers always gets it right. Can’t remember which.

It's usually broadcast live on 5 live if you're not going to be near a tv. R4 tends to have highlights on the PM prog, although may broadcast the actual Boris bit.

Nah, I'll be on the tube and have to have phone off later anyway.
Pathetic isn't it. I feel completely ambivalent about the whole thing but today, I have to admit, I'm feeling very 'are we nearly there yet?!?!? ...

My husband said it looks like easing of restrictions is going ahead as planned. I assume he got this from the BBC or work colleagues. Can't stand to see or hear BJ, so will rely on news sources to confirm later.

I am sick and tired of these broadcasts so will just catch the highlights on the news instead.

Basically it's all going ahead. Businesses and large events encouraged to use "certification" to ensure safety ie. a likely push on vaccine passports, and masks to still be encouraged and expected. The only new thing was an announcement that they will not now charge for lfts, in contrast to recent reports.
