Second Pfizer jab side effects?

I know this has likely been done to death, I’ve got mine on Wednesday. I have work on Thursday and Friday. Did anyone have any bad side effects from the second jab?

Mine is tomorrow and I am wondering the same. The first made me feel quite wobbly the next day…

forpeeetssake · 12/07/2021 06:57

I just felt tired, oh so tired for about 4 or 5 days. I could work fine though

Shopgirl1 · 12/07/2021 06:57

I was tired and headachy after the first, completely fine after the second though other than a slightly sore arm.

Sew3stitch · 12/07/2021 06:58

A slightly sore arm for me (not as bad as with injection 1) and a fuzzy head feeling for 24 hours which then disappeared. Headache would be too strong a word but I took paracetamol morning and lunchtime which sorted it and felt better by the end of the day. Worked all day so nothing bad at all. Fingers crossed for you

tortoiselover100 · 12/07/2021 06:59

First Pfizer jab, no side affects, second jab last weekend, no side affects. Like literally forgot I'd had the jabs both times as there wasn't even a sore arm or anything. But everyone is different

KatharinaRosalie · 12/07/2021 07:02

chills and fever overnight. Was a bit tired the next day but could have gone to work.

IggyAce · 12/07/2021 07:03

After my first I was tired, achy and sore arm for 48-72 hours, after my second I was a little tired & sore arm for around 24hours.

ablutiions · 12/07/2021 07:16

No, none at all and neither did the rest of my family.

Orangeinmybluelightcup · 12/07/2021 07:16

Had my second on Sat. Very similar to sew3 above, a slight headache yesterday, bit of a sore arm, took Paracetamol. Still made it out with the kids all day Sat and to run club Sun morning.

Justilou1 · 12/07/2021 07:24

I had a sore arm for a couple of days (but I’ve had far worse from flu shots) and I felt a little bit more tired than usual the day after the 2nd shot. (I have been stressed out about something, so that may be the reason for the stress, too….)

NautaOcts · 12/07/2021 07:28

I was quite tired and achey especially in the evenings for a few days. Worse than with the 1st

Footballschmootball · 12/07/2021 07:30

Me and my husband and friends all felt quite ropey for a few days afterwards. Able to work but felt a bit like I’d been hit by a bus. Definitely worse than the first.

Crackingowlsanctuary · 12/07/2021 07:31

Just had my second yesterday morning and nothing at all so far. Didn’t even take any paracetamol.

TheGenealogist · 12/07/2021 09:38

Sore arm from first Pfizer, lasted about 48 hours.

Sore arm from second Pfizer, lasted about 12 hours.

And that was it.

HairyFloppins · 12/07/2021 09:39

Had my 2nd one on Saturday bit of a sore arm and nothing else so far.

Bells3032 · 12/07/2021 09:40

a slightly sore arm and maybe a little tired for a couple of days. nothing sinister

alloalloallo · 12/07/2021 09:56

I felt like shite

First jab - absolutely nothing, slightly sore arm that night, but nothing to write home about

Second jab - felt absolutely pants. Had it early morning, felt fine to start with but by lunch time I had never felt so tired in my life. That night was horrible, chills, couldn’t sleep despite feeling bone tired, painful arm, headache. Felt absolutely awful the next day and then around 8pm all symptoms suddenly vanished.

ellenpartridge · 12/07/2021 10:16

No, I was fine

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/07/2021 10:21

First dose- fine, until dc5(3) head butted my arm, which made it sore.

Second dose (on Friday just gone)- felt like ice going down my arm as it went in the a dead arm to just below my elbow immediately after, followed by a very sore & tender arm that I can't really lift ever since, although it is now improving. Also slightly tired the first 24 hours after.

I was injected much higher on my arm 2nd time round & I think it's that, more than the vaccine, causing the soreness.

duvetdrama · 12/07/2021 10:26

I had slight side effects and sore arm the first time but second one no side effects at all (except sore arm). I took paracetamol straight after it, before bed and the next morning

FizzyPink · 12/07/2021 10:26

DP and I both had ours Saturday morning. My arm was slightly sore yesterday which I only noticed when I tried to pick up a box of beer with that arm but other than that not a single side effect.

Candyflosscrochet · 12/07/2021 10:41

I worried about this too as I had a 10day old baby (He came early, should have still be pregnant when I had the 2nd jab) and was concerned I might feel really ill.
But, other than a sore arm, I had no other effects (didn't have any effects after the first either).

MoonbeamSprinkles · 12/07/2021 10:44

I felt like absolute shit.
I wouldn’t have been able to work, no way.

I felt fine until the night time when I felt like I had proper flu.

Then the next day I was super tired but that evening was back to normal except tired for about 2 days.

I just don’t think there’s a way to know, if you can cancel plans for the next day I would.

magicstar1 · 12/07/2021 10:46

First jab I was tired and nauseous for 3 days, but with the second I came home a slept for a few hours, and I was fine.

Justilou1 · 12/07/2021 13:54

Oh yes… I forgot to mention, my DH works for a professional sporting team. When they all had their jabs, the women were almost universally fine, except for one or two that felt like they might be coming down with something (but never did) for 24hrs or so. Most of the men had Manflu-type symptoms. Not to say they weren’t genuine - my DH had very swollen lymph nodes in his armpits (like half an orange) and felt blah for a day or two. As I said in my pp apart from a slightly sore arm, I had virtually no symptoms.
