What do you class as a negative LFT? Grey evap line….

5 of us in our household. Last week we took LFT’s followed by PCR tests to confirm.

Those of us who tested negative on pcr, had completely clear LFT’s (when using a magnifying glass, not a single spot or mark on the test).

Those of us who tested positive on pcr, had a very very faint line (mark) on the LFT. It’s exactly where you would expect a second pink line to appear. You literally need a magnifying glass to see it (though it is just about visible to the naked eye if you know what you’re looking for). This line/mark would be comparable to an evap line on a pregnancy test (it’s a very faint thin grey like a pencil mark, not a hint of pink to be seen, but it’s in the right place).

So I would assume that LFT’s do work, if you have incredible vision! Anyone else noticed this?

We had two “positive” three negative on LFT, this was confirmed exactly by pcr.

There have been quite a few photos posted on here showing what you describe. I have told everyone I know that if they get an ‘evap line’ they should consider it positive, as it’s really not obvious.

No advice but I love how the ‘is this a line’ posts have now escaped out of the conception section of the boards Grin

I have had a few now but a negative PCR 🤔
I have another one booked though as I’m showing all the symptoms my child did. X

yep, I have seen lots of positive lft (confirmed by pcr) and all but one were very, very faint grey lines. You really have to look closely and I dont think this is made clear enough tbh
