How fast are kids recovering?

DD caught covid at school, had mild symptoms on Wednesday, positive PCR on Thursday.

She has to have a negative lateral flow to fly before we travel to our home country outside the UK on the 21st, so 12/13 days after positive PCR and 12/13 days after the symptoms finished (the rest of us are double vaxxed and don't need to test).

In your actual experience (as opposed to "I wouldn't have thought...") how long after recovery (for a child) should they they show up negative on a lateral flow? The rest of us are fine and just self isolating.

It is advised to not test - lateral flow or pcr for 90 days after a positive infection as it could still show positive.

I don't have any personal experience as the positive child in our family didn't test again due to the above advice

My niece was given a 'proof of recovery' certificate in lieu of a negative test approx 4 wks after first testing positive for Covid. She flew from LHR a few days ago.

My son tested negative again after the 10 day isolation period. (Lateral flow)

Friend's 6 yr old daughter had it last week...under the weather for 24 hours, that's it.
