Question about schools bubbles ending

I’m a bit confused about Gavin Williamson’s announcement about the ending of school bubbles and pupils not having to isolate unless they test positive. From what I’ve read the bubble system will end after step 4 on 19th July but the not having to isolate rule doesn’t come in until 16th August.

My DC’s school doesn’t finish until 23rd July so if bubbles end on the 19th, how will they decide who should isolate in that last week? Do you think in reality schools will keep bubbles going until end of term?

I imagine most schools will finish the year using what ever groupings they have been using all year as it is a lot of hassle to change things for a few days. Makes far more sense to revert to mostly normal in September.

What I can’t figure out about it is:
If a bubble is sent home next week eg the 15th. Will they then have to isolate until the 25th or will that stop on the 19th? I wish they’d release some clear guidance!!

@FlagsFiend - I agree, it absolutely makes sense to stop bubbles right at the end of term and revert to normal in September. Why didn’t he just say that?!
