So out of curiosity - if your kids have tested positive - why did you test?
routine Lateral was positive/symptoms/contact? & if symptoms which did they have / for how long and were they unwell with it? (And age of children) X

Mine were because I had it, we’d never done a test on them prior to it (10&11)

11 yo had a significant cold so we tested right away and got a positive. Those symptoms lasted only two days. She was also high risk but you would never have thought she was ill.

The other had no symptoms, and a few headaches after her positive test, and a temp that was easy controlled with paracetamol. This lasted 3 days and back to normal.

On the whole, nothing huge, and they were happy and still online learning

2yo because the rest of us were positive so thought she probably was too. And she was!

Not mine but nephew, aged 7, tested as his parents were positive. One headache apparently that was the only sign.

Tested mine because he was sneezing and coughing 4 days after being sent home to self isolate. Positive.

My friend’s 6yo was isolating due to a contact at his school. He had a headache, she tested and it was positive. Subsequently her 3yo and both she and her husband also tested positive. All fortunately mild and little more than a brief headache or snotty nose.

He had a headache then the next morning lost his sense of taste and smell. Other than that he was fine although a few days before he had a stomach upset and he's still having some problems with that now . He tested positive Easter Sunday and is 10

Was a close contact and I preferred to test then be worrying about it all isolation. We had already done 2 isolations previously before close contact could test.
DS was positive (as was whole family) but no symptoms at all other than he slept in about an hour longer in the morning he's 2.
