In light of the vaccine and delta variant thread, does anyone know people who have previously had covid and are now reinfected with the delta variant?

Yes, DS has just recovered from it. The first time he had COVID was over a year ago though. He also had the first vaccine in May.

This time wasn't as bad but the symptoms were totally different - D&V, sneezing, sore throat, runny nose, headache. It took several days for the cough to develop.

not totally sure yet, but dd (15) had covid at Christmas (positive pcr) and now has a sore throat, sneezing and headache and had positive lateral flow test. Just awaiting pcr reuslts.

My niece has covid about 6 months ago and now has it again. I am assuming it’s delta but have no confirmation. She has all the classic symptoms this time around including loss of taste and smell (which she didn’t have the first time around!)

so, my daughter has just recieved her positive pcr result sadly.
First time round her only symptom was total loss of smell.
this time she has had a mild headache, sore throat and sneezing (although ironically is totally fine today)
I suspect this is delta variant as there are now about 8 confrimed cases amongst her year group.

Sorry to hear that fresia, hope she recovers quickly
