E mail from school asking for a test to be done twice and week AND to be logged on school portal. Why this when it's nearly end of term ?

I thought all tests nweded to be logged? We've been logging from the beginning.

No it was scrapped weeks ago and now suddenly renintroduced

Because cases are doubling every 9 days, and the requirements to isolate around confirmed cases will be in place for at least another month.

Because the policy is not to let it rip until after schools have broken up.

Because schools aren't covid safe, despite the polite fictions about this, and there is enough if the adult population still not fully vaccinated that a surge too early could yet be serious

Our school is the opposite, they dont encourage testing, they are more concerned with keeping up with attendance.

DD keeps coming home with tests in her bag but has made the decision not to do them.

wordsareveryunnecessary · 06/07/2021 19:54

We don't test. Let's see if any pressure put on DC tomorrow

Because testing protects the vulnerable. There may be children with medical conditions that make covid dangerous. Doing tests is a small ask for everyone's safety
