When would kids go back after isolation?

So, a child in DS class has been confirmed positive, reported to school this morning and class sent home.

School saying kids to return on Tuesday next week but surely it should be Mon (10 days since last exposure to positive case on the Friday just gone)?

Can anyone clarify??

Friday counts as day zero. I have to write the isolation letters at my school based on Public Health's advice.

Interesting thread op. Following as one of mine might have to isolate (positive lateral flow and awaiting pcr results). Like yours last contact was Friday so I was assuming back Monday but maybe not reading this!

You start counting the day after. DS was a contact last Wednesday but isolation ends Saturday at midnight which means they started counting 10.days from Thursday.

We were told at pick up that DS class has to isolate until next Tuesday, so assume that it was also from contact on Friday.

Yeah, I’ve got one isolating here, I assumed she’d be back Thursday but it’s Friday so it does seem to start a day earlier than you think

You count the day after exposure as day 1 which would be Saturday so isolation ends at the end of Monday.

Thanks everyone!
