Joining Isolating Household

Hi can anyone help? Partner is away, DC positive so rest of us self isolating too. Can partner come home and join in the 10 days until the same date as the rest of us or does his 10 days start from when he comes home? Confused!

From when he comes home - he will be a new contact of a positive case.
