If you saw a fellow school mum whose child is meant to be isolating due to a positive case in class bubble, not isolating? Taking child on days out to public places and posting photos on social media?

Are people just not listening to the rules anymore? Are you isolating in these circumstances or not?

Lots of people haven't been following the rules for a long time so I'm not surprised.

From what I’ve seen on MN not many people are isolating their kids anymore in these circumstances

DinosaurDiana · 04/07/2021 14:58

Plenty of people not following the rules 12 months ago, so I’ve learned not to think about it.

I would think they are a bit of an idiot to be honest.

There's independent schools who are now not inviting school back next term due to them travelling prior to Easter, and there's universities who are very open that COVID regulations which have been breeched will face disciplinary action and police involvement where necessary.

Today a lot of posts on MN sound exactly like what a journalist would post

I have enough trouble keeping my own life in order, I don't care about who does or doesn't follow 'Rona rules "correctly"

Part that shocks me is stories about people who freely share their law-breaking on social media. Do they not 'think' or do they just assume that social media friends are all true friends? Is it just 'Rona rules they forget about? I can't remember MN threads about people who boast about speeding on roads, parking illegal places, fly-tipping, drug selling, drink-driving, under-age sex, unsolicited sexting, stalking... does all that get shared freely on social media?
