I assume this means I was already carrying virus when I went for vaccination and I just didn't know it yet? Will this make my Covid infection more dangerous? I'm really worried because I can see the advice is not to get a jab for 28 days after testing positive - I guess there is a reason for that?! I feel rotten already. Sad

No not at all. The jab won't make things worse for you. It may well help you have a milder illness. The reason they say wait 28 days is more to do with people catching Covid but not testing for it because they are assuming the symptoms they are having are vaccine side effects.

Thank you. This is the worst any illness has made me feel. Hope it shuffles off quickly

The vaccine doesn't prevent you catching it, it isn't an invisible bag over you head ;-)
With partial immunity from 1st jab you should have mild illness. Your second jab won't offer much help as too soon after.
Hope you're better soon.

It doesn't feel mild. My whole chest hurts when I breathe and I can't get out of bed without feeling dizzy/sick. But thank you.

I got a positive test hours after my vaccine :( I was negative the night prior to it.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine were too. Go easy on yourself, sleep when you can, eat what feels right, and painkillers for any headaches or body aches. I mentioned this on another thread, but look up proning , this will help you breathe a little easier in bed if it hurts to cough

I don't want to alarm you but I had a recent stint in hospital with covid, everyone on the ward had been jabbed at least once. Amazon prime a blood oxometer and keep and eye on it. Please do not hesitate to contact nhsnif your levels are low. Good luck
