Can you do a PCR with only nostrils? Does the stick go up the back of the nostril nearer mouth or front nearer tip of nose?

You're supposed to do both nostrils but I imagine the virus will show up on one just as easily. Just shove it up your nose as far as you can quickly - and don't worry.

Just up as far as you can and then twist around.

DH says the testers don’t put it up as high as he’s been doing with LFTs.
You can do nostrils only.

For small children the instructions are to do PCR in nostrils only.

Thank you

Do lft tests work just doing nostrils too?

@goneroguetoday

But front or back of nostril?!
If you go far enough up you don’t really have a choice as it’s quite narrow up there. Just go slowly up until you feel you can’t go any further and then swizzle it around.
