A child in my son’s class has tested positive today - he was last in on Monday. Will the bubble have to close? Thanks.

Yes I think so.

katienana · 30/06/2021 22:22

It depends when his symptoms started.

finkirt · 30/06/2021 22:25

LFT or has he had a PCR confirmation?

KatherineOfGaunt · 30/06/2021 22:25

It depends. Is the school trialling testing instead of isolation? Do the school close bubbles or send home only close contacts?

Most likely yes, though.

Howshouldibehave · 30/06/2021 22:25

Primary or secondary?

FrancisCross · 30/06/2021 22:27

He’s had PCR confirmation. Symptoms yesterday I believe. This is a primary and have previously sent bubbles home.

Yes I would think so as he was in contact with them the day before symptoms started (I think they usually go back two days from when symptoms started)

Dauphinois · 30/06/2021 22:35

Yes, almost certainly.

FrancisCross · 30/06/2021 22:40

Thanks for the advice. Will wait to see what the school say.

Yes I would expect so as they go back 48 hours from when symptoms started
