I’m losing the plot.

Dd has been in contact with a + case. The last known contact was last Wednesday. (23rd)

So the 10 days ends on midnight this Saturday (2nd)?

School are saying Monday? That’s not right is it?

School have not been amazing with the whole track and trace thing anyway.

Maybe the school are taking it from the last time the case was in school. So the Friday?

Wouldn’t the school just mean that’s Monday is the first day back for your daughter?

Child who was positive was last in school on the Wednesday.

Have emailed the school and said they have definitely got to ISOLATE until Monday.

Bonkers.

I have read the guidance and have emailed the school again asking them to check.

You're correct on the information given, isolation ends midnight Saturday so you can go about your business on Sunday.

Maybe someone else tested positive on the Friday?

nootkah I don’t think that’s the case as I know the child who is positive. And it’s a small community. Although it’s a possibility….thanks I hadn’t thought of that.

Do they mean they can go back on the Monday?

No I did ask them about that and they said isolate until Monday. Weird.

Anyway I had sent another email to query.

I have one off with the exact same date.
School are saying they have to stay in until Monday when they go back to school. I've looked it up and I believe if they all wanted to go out on Sunday they could do because that is 10 days from last contact.
However some parents in the whatsapp group are saying 10 days is Friday 330 which I don't agree with and others are believing what the school letter says of Monday.

Then isolate for 10 days
Your allowed out on day 11.

So Saturday at midnight is correct.
