Self isolate

IronNeonClasp · 29/06/2021 20:30

Took my work mobile to travel to a wedding over the weekend and deleted app on my mobile months ago. Had a notification to self isolate tonight for 7 (more) days. Period started 25th.

My kids were with me the entire time. Should I keep them off school?

Thanks !

What's your period got to do with anything?

If you want to comply with the app then yes you should keep the kids off. I have zero confidence in the app though.

Is the message from the app or test and trace?

IronNeonClasp · 29/06/2021 20:55

From the NHS app.

The reason I mentioned my 'period' is I was surprised we have travelled back from the wedding and only been notified today, potentially infecting loads of other people.

So should I keep the kids off too? They haven't left my side since the 25th and been to school today eek

It's so weird it's on my work mob and now having opened the app which must have been dormant on my phone - nothing on there ..

My colleague travelled at the weekend. Pinged at work on Monday. Isolate for 8 days. No msg confirming received and the isolation has disappeared from the app today. Phoned me tonight as he called them and they said it may be a glitch. Has to phone to confirm with Test and Trace first thing tomorrow. Looks likely he'll be back in tomorrow.

I have zero faith in the app.
