Nursery closed ...

If a nursery has to remain closed due to a covid case and can re-open on the 7th July then did the exposure not happen at the weekend? Trying to understand why children have to isolate when 10 days prior to this date they can't possibly have been in contact with the nursery staff / kids?

I think the test would have been taken at the weekend and therefore whoever had taken the test could have been infected and contagious for a few days beforehand.

possibly not enough staff left to open.

Are the rules on isolation as a close contact 10 days from contact with the person? I genuinely don't know. Waiting to see if ds1 has to isolate. Have only been told nursery closed and those who have to isolate will be contacted.

It's 10 days from last contact. So if you saw someone today and they took a test tomorrow it's 10 days from today.

If you don't know that he has to isolate yet but it's fully shut it does sound like there aren't enough staff.

They've confirmed some children have to isolate. We just haven't been contacted yet. Hopefully won't be at all. The time line is just confusing.
