Self Isolation question

My sister in law cut my hair on Saturday, she was at a BBQ outdoors later that evening.

She has done a covid test and is waiting for the results now. I'm not sure if she has symptoms or why she has done the test, second hand info through DP so far, I have asked....

If she comes back as positive, I assume I have to self isolate for 10 days? however the kids didn't come with me so provided I don't have symptoms, they can still go to school? is that right?

Yes it will just be you that has to isolate. The children won't as they have not had direct contact with her.

Thanks, that's what I thought but just wanted to double check.

This will dictate whether you have to isolate or not. If she is testing because she is a close contact of someone she saw at the BBQ then it won't affect you.
