We have a holiday in Menorca booked for last week of August. We booked it a year ago with Jet 2 and only paid £60 deposit pp. It's now on the green list at last so we should be good to pay the rest of our balance and go. But is anyone clear of where we stand of the gov puts it back on Amber between now and then?

We will both be fully vaccinated if relevant.

If it goes back to Amber, you should get refund or be able to change dates as you won’t be able to go. By August there may be vaccine passports in place.

At the minute Jet2 are only flying to green destinations so if Menorca go back on the amber list chances are Jet2 will cancel so you'll be refunded

If you booked it a year ago was that because you thought all the covid restrictions would be be over? If not then I'd go as you're in the same position now as you were when you booked in that restrictions can still be put in place any time.

I'd go, but if it went back to amber, quarantining when I got back wouldn't be a problem for me.

Remember it's not all about the UK traffic light system. Many places will not want people from UK... but you'd get refund.

Travel helps the virus spread, things can change very quickly re amber/red etc, being ill with covid abroad doesn’t appeal etc.

It’s highly likely that fully vaccinated people will be able to skip isolation on return from amber list countries from mid July so I would go ahead.
