When to test?

Kids have been near another kid with a hacking cough, could be nothing, no ones fault.

I have lateral flow tests because I need to do one for a holiday next weekend so was going to test Thursday anyway. I’m going to have to keep them away from elderly relatives but is there any point testing them sooner than Thursday or would incubation be longer?

I really hate all this overthinking!

Has the kid with the cough been tested? If they are positive then yours would isolate if they were close contact

Get some more LFT free from the chemist and do them now with no symptoms. It might put your mind at ease.

I had this dilemma, one child having to isolate from school last contact being Thursday gone, so did LFT on all of us, all negative but I am not sure how accurate we can be with them.

Child had a PCR today, no symptoms, so we shall see but I wonder if he gets another PCR say coming Tuesday or Wednesday would that be more accurate? Who knows?

Is there a reason you can't get more tests? I thought you could pick them up on every high street. Rather than stressing just get some more

I have enough to do it twice it’s just very very unpleasant for young kids and if exposure on Friday wouldn’t be showing up now anyway what’s the point?

Kid with cough has not been tested.
