I suffer from anxiety
I met a friend and hugged, I had my mask on but friend didn't. Only a few seconds.
I know we eventually have to live with the virus soon but we have both only had one vaccine so far. I'm now panicking and my anxiety has hot very bad.

Hugging is one of the safest things you can do with a friend. When you hug, you are both breathing out away from each other.

Far safer than spending 20 mins talking to them face to face unless you are well over 2m apart.

I've never understood the big fuss over it, unless the thought is that if people are hugging, they're probably likely to either before or after the hug, stand very close to someone and talk into their face.....

But if all you do is walk up to someone, hug and then step back, you've been exposed as much as if you walked past someone on the street.
