Just that really.
Friend and neighbour middle age and not a tinternet user is asking. She had a jab in early April and is now considering 2nd jab but is it too late or not recommended, with such a big gap?

That’s about 12 weeks isn’t it? Which is what was originally being used til they started bringing them forward, so absolutely fine.

When I asked about mine they said anything up to 16 weeks they will do but under 12 weeks is “optimal”

Thanks Katie517

What happens if you go over 16 weeks, I am still with side effects from first dose 14 weeks ago. I keep waiting to get better.
Surely, you can still get a second dose beyond 16 weeks?

NeedNewKnees · 24/06/2021 18:53

My GP practice forgot me, so it was 15 weeks for me.

Thank you

There is no limit. Originally at 11-12 now reduced to 7-8 for over 40.if missed as soon as possible afterwards.

I had my first dose in mid-April and the first available date for a second dose in my area is early July, so not any later than for someone who planned on getting both doses.
