A Tory councillor has tested positive for covid. He is now insisting on attending a meeting and won’t even wear a mask!
Surely this is illegal and should be strongly enforced? How can someone with such disregard for others lives, not to mention the law, be a councillor .

Between this and the deleting of Instagram photos of Scottish footballers in close contact with the team member who has tested positive, I’ve really had it.
We have to isolate and lose work, despite being double jabbed. The kids can’t go on residential or have a sports day with their parents, yet Wembley can be packed to the rafters with people from round the world and if you are a Tory or someone rich or important the rules just don’t apply to you.

Probably all done on purpose. They know they’ve terrified the population into staying in and not spending any money, staying away from offices. They’ve now got to make us revolt against the rules and go out and about as normal.

Oh well nevermind the CEV and CV children. Just because someone else has no morals/brain doesn't mean the rest of us have to follow suit.

Yes this. Also in that national link it quotes him as saying he thought it would be fine if he wore his mask but in the original email he said he doesn’t wear a mask because of a skin condition.

All that aside- he’s clearly thick as champ. Why does anyone want him representing them?

So much for raised awareness of the risks of Long Covid. The potential heart, lung, kidney, brain damage, diabetes, hearing loss.

15 new Long Covid clinics are being set up across the country. These ones are for children.

All that will happen is children are constantly isolating while the rest of society carry on.

DS2's class is off school and self-isolating because someone in their class, DS2 thinks one of his teachers as she didn't come to school yesterday, has tested positive. Yet a councillor can just go about his usual business.

And no I’m not worried about long Covid in children no matter how many times you try and scare us with it, I’ve never seen it in any child. My daughter is healthier than she’s ever been.

Eh? Children testing? This thread is about an adult councillor

As for the football. Well if the Italian Prime Minister has his way (hopefully), the 60,000 will be going to Rome instead. It makes sense. We're a high risk country and understandbly other countries won't want to come here. (And, separately, Rome is nicer than London).
