Vaccine types in the UK

I no longer live in the UK and I was wondering which vaccine is the most commonly used one over there? We’re hearing that it’s primarily AZ but is that true? Are adolescents (>12) being vaccinated yet? Tia

AZ over 40 pfizer/moderna under 40. I think we may be vaccinating to 16yr olds, if not it’s 18yr olds although clinically extremely vulnerable children over 12 can be vaccinated.

Thanks!

At one stage it was AstraZeneca, but now they're giving Pfizer only to the younger ones, so that could end up been the main one.

It's 18+ for vaccination.

16+ if there are additional medical reasons

AZ, Pfizer and Moderna. Probably a similar amount of Pfizer and AZ been given. We've also approved Janssen but Im not sure its been rolled out yet. All adults and anyone over 16 with additional medical complications are eligible. About 60% of the adult population have had both doses and about 85% of the adult population have had their first. There is talk of vaccinating adolescents over the summer/autumn prior to or just after return to school.

I think the breakdown is somewhere on the government website

yeOldeTrout · 22/06/2021 19:38

afaik, 2nd jabs (esp. age 50+) AZ
Moderna Pfizer for new first jabs (people under 40 generally)

I've had a good look but can't find it. I'm sure I've seen stuff on twitter with the breakdown, but of course I can't find it now.
