Anyone recently test positive for Covid?

I'm trying to figure out if what I've got could potentially be Corona or just a normal cold bug.

Slightly tickly dry cough, more prone to coughing when I'm talking and not drank anything. As soon as I drink something I'm usually ok. A bit of a sore scratchy throat. Just a general foggy feeling of being unwell. Sometimes I feel very slightly nauseous but not often. Just foggy. And today I'm just utterly exhausted - but I did go to bed very late last night, although I often do and don't normally feel this tired. I just feel really run down. I suppose there's no way of knowing if it's covid or not for sure without a test. But I'm just curious as to what people's symptoms were like who have recently tested positive as the BBC article I read said now covid feels like a bad cold for most people??

Could be just a cold, do you have a temperature? Testing is probably advisable to be sure.

The symptoms vary so much that there is no way of knowing without a pcr test unfortunately.

I tested positive today, my son has been positive since Thursday. I started to feel congested & scratchy throat so tested & was positive...I'm now starting to feel pressure in my head x

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your symptoms aren't too bad and pass relatively quickly.

Apart from a scratchy cough every once in a while I'm fine, so I'm sure it's not covid

Son tested positive today, no cough at all. He felt really tired and has had swollen tonsils, earache, mouth ulcers and sinus pain since last Friday. On Sunday he lost his sense of smell on so got a PCR test yesterday and got his results this morning.

Sorry OP, that’s how my symptoms started!

@BitchIAmFromChicago

Sorry OP, that’s how my symptoms started!

Oh no. Like mine? I feel fine now pretty much. Last week I had a terrible stuffy runny nose that was borderline sinus infection but I managed to get rid of it. Then this week it's this. I've felt very tired the past few days and have had to have some little naps before dinner. I'm feeling much better today though. Did you feel better and then get worse? Or did it just kind of stay fairly ok but you tested positive?

Yeah, very minor scratchy throat for a couple of days along with a tickly cough. Nothing that gave me any bother at all.
I then got slightly achey but nothing that stopped me functioning as I had to look after a 4 year old. Sense of taste and smell went and hasn’t returned at all yet - it’s been almost a month! Sad.
