Talks of there being another lockdown I have seen on tiktok tonight. Now i know tiktok isn't incredibly reliable but personally I can't trust that there won't be another one. Just want to get rid of these masks, social distancing, reopen everywhere, not at this point in time but definitely when everyone who wants one has had both. It's so frustrating.

Meant to say when everyone who wants a vaccine has had both.

In the North. Spent the evening chatting to a friend who is a respiratory medicine consultant and who was in the thick of it in Jan/Feb. He said although cases are rising, hospitalisations aren’t really. 8-10 admissions to his large district hospital since the end of March. The NHS is not being overwhelmed by this wave.
Hope that’s helpful

I only wear a mask in shops.

All outdoor spacrsare open, I love the so I distancing in cinemas.

Scouts and things are up and running. I hadn't planned a holiday abroad.

I think my lucky stars every day that I've kept my job and not known anyone to be really ill or die. I only know a couple of people who've had covid.

Thousands of people would love to only have masks and social distancing to worry about.

Give your head a wobble.

I know how you feel. Another loads of surge testing has started in my area

I dont need to give my head a wobble. I like many others are so upset about how it feels like we are going backwards yet again when we have followed all the rules. We are justified in our feelings. Yes things are up and running again but how long til it's stopped again. We can't keep living like this.

It will start to peter out. Were in the cusp of the turn now. Full vaccination (near full, anyway) is not far away and will make a big difference. We just need as much compliance with the jab as possible.

Seems I've hopefully just been clickbaited scaremongered by the media.

I'm getting my first jab on Wednesday and second on 8th Sept. 🤞

I had mine Feb and May (clinically extremely vulnerable) and although I thought I wasn’t too worried beforehand about the virus, it’s amazing how relaxed i feel now I fully covered. No side effects beyond an arm ache. I really recommend to anyone reading who is on the fence. Good luck with yours OP.

More minimising of peoples worries Hmm

PluralPatty · 20/06/2021 03:27

I’m overseas and have been fully vaccinated for three months. Most other adults are fully done too. Life is pretty much back to normal here. There will be no more lockdowns. The UK will be the same soon.

BarbaraofSeville · 20/06/2021 03:30

We can have another wave without another lockdown.

They've ramped up vaccinations and fewer people are getting seriously ill.

COVID isn't going away and we need to live with it.

However the sticking point seems to be international travel until more of the world is vaccinated.

BonnieDundee · 20/06/2021 04:13

I could live without international travel if.everything else was normal. Average deaths 11 a day. Hard to see the need for continued restrictions especially when they used overinflated figures to justify it and get it through Parliament.

Looking back at increased cases in September, although cases are now rising like they did back then, deaths are not so far. by 12 July this will be more obvious (hopefully)

Honestly, at this point I've taught myself to roll with the punches. I'll just get through it if it happens and it will be great if it doesnt

Pinuporc · 20/06/2021 13:22

You might be able to get the 2and one sooner than 8th september. Lots of places are doing walk in 2nd jab if you've had the first one 8 weeks before

Frazzled2207 · 20/06/2021 13:25

Agree once everyone has had their first dose there will be a big push to get the seconds done ASAP IMO as they will no longer have to manage first and second jabs at the same time
