How long for PCR tests to come back?

Beds/Bucks area.

Ds has a temperature, had PCR today, Dd has mocks next week so is panicking about them and what to do if dd is positive...

Any experience of test return time? Thanks.

My DS got his after 16 hours last weekend, fingers crossed for a swift negative!

28hrs for us a couple of days ago.

20hrs from Luton airport drive through yday.

I’ve been waiting nearly 24 hours for my most recent one ( north west)

DD and I had ours the same time. We were emailed exactly the same time 15 hours later, but text didn't come through until 22 hours later, south west and busy.

DD took one a couple of hours ago (NW London) and was told 24-72 hourse
