Time between vaccine doses?

I've managed to move my second vaccine forward and it's now at just over 8 weeks as opposed to 11 weeks.
Hubby isn't moves his as he says it's only a couple of weeks difference 🙄
But to me a couple of weeks is the difference between being protected as soon as possible or not.
I'm quite an anxious person and feel that with the delta variant around I want to be protected as soon as I can.
But now reading some things I'm worried that having the doses sooner together is not as effective? Are you not as immune or something?
