If you took a PCR test at 4pm on a Tuesday and it came back positive, would your close contact be anyone you had close contact with from 4pm on Sunday or would you could the whole of Sunday?

TIA

Unless T&T advised a specific time, go on a whole day basis.

Quartz2208 · 14/06/2021 22:22

was it a symptomatic test as that is 48 hours before the symptoms started or if asymptomatic 48 hours before the test.

So did you have symptoms or not and when was contact

‘Quartz’ my dd has been advised to get a PCR done as she’s a close contact of someone who has had a positive PCR. She currently has no symptoms herself.

We’re just trying to work out that if my dd’s PCR test, that’s booked for 4pm tomorrow, comes back positive, would a person that she had close contact with at 8.30am on Sunday then need to isolate? Or just those from 4pm on Sunday?

It’s 2 days now, not 48 hours anymore, so anyone who you had contact with on Sunday and Monday

Thank you!

They tend to let you know if it’s positive with the tracing element and the stuff you have to fill in so would worry about that if she is positive!
