How long for drive-through PCR results?

Just this- how long do drive through PCR test results take?

I've had them back within 24 hours

Son had one done 9.30 Wednesday morning. Had results at 11 on Thursday morning.

Ours came back within 20hrs this week.

13 hours this week (9am -10pm)

The advice is 24 to 48 hours but ours are coming back in just over 12 hours at the moment. The labs are working hard.

My friend's son had his done at 12:30pm and she had an email with the result by 11pm same day. I had my PCR taken today at 2:40pm so I'll update when I get a result. (Expecting negative. I had my second jab Friday and spiked a temp afterwards, work won't let me back until I prove covid free!)

Ours took just over 24 hours in the end- 9 to 9:45

Do I need to chase our results up? we are 39 hours and not heard anything. It was a walk through centre.

I know someone who had this but with a postal test and it turned out it'd been lost and she needed to retest. I'd give it until 48 and then chase.

Thank you, I have just called 119 and they are saying to leave it until tomorrow and then call if we haven't received the result.

My son had one done at 10.30am on Saturday and the result came through at 3am on Sunday
