Only 7 weeks between jabs?

I have been offered an appointment for my second AZ jab but it will only be 7 weeks between the first and second. Has anyone else had such a short gap?

I had mine at 7 1/2 weeks. I decided the few days between that and 8 weeks wouldn't really matter

DH had his at 7. In my area they opened a drop in session where you could come if you were at least 4 weeks after the first jab. I think they are trying to get as many 2nd doses done as possible because of the rise of delta variant.

Thanks for the replies, didn't want to be turned away. Dh was told to come back after two weeks and he had a 12 week gap!

The manufacturer's recommendation for most of the vaccines is 3 weeks isn't it? The UK is leaving like the longest gap between jabs in the world.

DH had 5 weeks.

My DH had a 4 week gap.

We have ours today and our first ones were 7 weeks ago yesterday.

I had mine at 5.5 weeks on Wednesday at a drop in session (as above it was open to anyone 4+ weeks from their first). I hesitated a bit over whether it was too soon but decided that being fully vaccinated sooner was better than waiting based on local case rates/direction, and it was better for the jab to go in an arm than a bin (they were using up a batch that was about to go out of date).
