Had a positive covid test without knowing!

I had a positive covid test without knowing I was! I was admitted to hospital at 34 weeks with what I thought was gastroenteritis (one day I had a slight temperature) I was discharged after 3 days, and 2 covid tests, never got told the results of covid tests.
Came for my c section yesterday for them to say o btw last time you was admitted you had covid! I'm like wtf! I'm so shocked and the lack of communication!

That’s terrible. I hope you told them that nobody told you that you had tested positive, it definitely needs to be looked into to see why you were not told.

I too know someone who was admitted to hospital ill then discharged without being given Covid swab results-phoned the hospital several times chasing results as they were still really poorly but got nowhere. Ended up needing to call an ambulance & were re admitted, then discovered they were Covid positive. They actually spent several weeks in hospital really ill with it.

@Mindymomo yes I told them I had no idea! I'm like I could have infected anyone in my family etc as I didn't know, luckily if i did, they must have been asymptotic! The swab from Tuesday was negative!
