Temperature after 2nd AZ - do i need to isolate?

Sorry, this probably sounds daft. I had my second AZ vaccine yesterday. Last night, when I was staying in my bubble, I woke up in the night feeling hot then feeling cold. My skin has been sore to the touch and I feel dizzy and tired.

I'm putting all of this down to side-effects.

When I got home from my bubble just now, I took my temperature (no thermometer at my bubble) - it is sometimes reading as 37.5 (so slight temperature) and sometimes as normal temperature.

Am I supposed to isolate if I've had a bit of a temperature, or, with it being a known side-effect of AZ vaccinations, do I not need to isolate?

No it doesn't even sound like you have a fever. I think it's 37.8 or above for covid testing. It is almost certainly related to the vaccine, a few people I know who have had AZ have had identical symptoms to you. Take some paracetamol and rest up, in the people I know most of them felt better within 48 hours.

I wasn't given one. So there isn't "everyone else".

If you have signs of Covid after a vaccine you don't need to isolate unless you have a close contact who has tested positive. If you did have that, you would need to isolate until you've had a pcr test come back negative.

Thank you everyone. I didn't get a leaflet this time - did the first time, but didn't have a temperature then. Not sure where I put it though. This time the vaccination was really rushed and I couldn't ask any questions. Just not wanting to be irresponsible in any way!

Only need to isolate if it lasts more than a couple of days

My temperature was 39.5 after my first dose of AZ but I was told that there was no need to take a test and isolate unless it lasted for more than a couple of days.

No need to isolate unless you have had a positive covid test. It’s so easy to get hold of a test why don’t you just do one?

I've still got an elevated temp from my first AZ jab 11 days ago. No leaflets given over here, but I assumed it could take a week or two for the side effects to bugger off. I'm v. fed up with the dizzyness and generally feeling like shit though.

That’s barely a temperature, it’s low grade. More importantly, how are you feeling though? Keep hydrated especially if it’s hot where you are.
