Indian variant and Pfizer?!

I'm reading one dose gives you a so minimal protection towards the delta variant.... is this actually true?
I had my first pfizer about ten days ago so naturally feeling so deflated after waiting so long and now feeling like I'm not even that much better off :(

having a vaccine will offer some protection which is always better than nothing

Right now the studies are in tiny samples meaning you get wildly imprecise estimates (that might not even be generalisable to your demographic)
