I need a blood test. My GP has asked me to go for a drive through test tomorrow. I don't drive. Has anyone used a taxi for this ? Just waiting for Uber support to advise

If your paying for a cab, I am sure they won't mind taking you !

Just thought they might not like it and would of course tip them as they are not paid if the taxi is stationary

I'm sure they won't mind!
I would tell the driver first though in case he or she isn't happy, but if your paying I'm sure it'll be ok.
Good luck

A drive through blood test? Is this really a thing now? Wow.

My thought too. A blood test is different to swabs up the nose which can easily be done through a car window.

I really don’t like the way this is heading

Imagine a drive through smear test!

Drive through childbirth, there would be a long queue.....

@XenoBitch don’t even joke 🙂🙂!

Update. All gone well. I live in a large city and yes this is happening for the foreseeable future. GP not doing them in surgery

So if you live nearby, are you allowed to walk through the drive through to get the blood test?
Is the drive through also a walk through?
Did you use Uber?

It's ok if people can afford a Uber to the venue and the cab driver is willing to wait ( if you can't drive there yourself) they might not be keen if their cab ends up covered in blood ( for example) as they don't always go smoothly! Some people might end up with a cleaning bill.
My local GP do bloods. It's worked fine for years. It would be sad to change this.
I'm glad it went ok though op.
Could be the future though. Drive through this and that : they could tie it in with the local mc Donald's and have it all on one sight..
