Hi,

I'm 29 weeks pregnant. Supposed to be seeing my great aunt for the first time this year todya Sad Woke up with a horrendous headache and felt like I had a coating on the back of my throat.

Took a LFT and had a faint positive result appear within two minutes.

I took another one, clear line. Not as dark as control line but clear to see.

I've booked my PCR for 11am.

Little bit anxious, I had my first dose of the vaccine just 5 days ago.

Had anyone had a positive PCR while in the third trimester? If so, was everything okay? I'm terrified of something happening to me and the baby

My friend had it before xmas at 32 weeks. She was fine, like a cold. She put up her xmas decs. Hope you feel okay!

@OliveTree75 that's reassuring! I just have a mild head ache and weird sensation in my throat, occcasional need to cough but not the kind of symptoms I'd of expected. Hoping I get a negative PCR

I know a number of women who have had covid in the third trimester and all have been fine, as have their babies. Some have felt quite rotten, particularly as you’re limited in terms of what medication you can take to alleviate symptoms, but no long term effects. I hope all is well for you

@BooblePlate I'm hoping it's all fine. I'm a student nurse and spent most of my pregnancy working on wards (not covid wards) but I was always so paranoid about catching it, I've finally had the vaccine and stopped doing face to face shifts at 28 weeks last week and now I have potentially caught it! Sod's law lol.

I have a mild sore throat and on/off headache and generally feel abit weak. Felt much worse when I've had a cold though so I'm hoping it's a negative PCR

I gave birth in January, I thankfully didn’t catch Covid(that I know of) but what I found massively reassuring were a couple of groups on Facebook, I think one was called Pregnant during COVID-19 and there are others as well. Lots of women share their experiences of having covid while pregnant in there and the vast majority were mild and manageable cases. It really calmed me down when I was stressing about it. I hope your symptoms disappear very quickly!

Hoping I get a negative PCR result. I've had an on/off headache that was manageable with paracetamol and a sore throat, some breathlessness.

Hoping if I do have it this is the worst it gets

Do you know where you might have caught it? Seems like terribly bad luck!

I had COVID just before Christmas, 35wks pregnant and was shitting myself about whether or not the baby would be affected! Midwife was quite honest about the fact that they didn't know enough about it yet but had no reason to believe baby would be affected, just said the main thing would be keeping my temperature down with paracetamol. All was fine and baby was born happy and healthy in Jan x

DD’s boss had Covid around 37 weeks pregnant. She and the baby were fine.

Hope all goes well Ragoo.

I know it's not the third trimester but I had it in the first when I guess the babies developing the most you could say and she's fine 😄 xx

Must've been two false positives as my PCR is negative
