Had mine Saturday and no side effects

Mummymagic25 · 01/06/2021 23:38

it's so different for everyone I felt like I'd been hit by a truck barely able to move like I had a flu or something but now I'm feeling better🙂

My partner has this, his arm hurt that's it

Laufeythejust · 01/06/2021 23:52

I had it last week and had a weird metallic taste from about 10 minutes after having it to the following evening. I also got shivers, was really cold and tired and had a really sore arm for a couple of days. All worth it though!

Mummymagic25 · 02/06/2021 00:09

absolutely worth it now awaiting my second shot.

Me too! Fingers crossed for no side effects second time round 🤞

Mummymagic25 · 02/06/2021 00:33

I'm looking forward to be fully vaccinated so that life as we know it can I hope return to some kind of normality as this is a strange world we've been living in for sometime now but are true heroes are the NHS and I support them highly in the job that they do🥰

Had both jabs... Only a bit of a sore arm with both of them.. So pleased I have had them Smile

Waxonwaxoff0 · 02/06/2021 07:00

Had first on Saturday, zero side effects other than a sore arm on Sunday.

Els1e · 02/06/2021 07:08

I’ve had the 2 jabs now and apart from a bit of an ache in the arm, was fine. No side effects to speak off.

chandyleer · 02/06/2021 09:22

I had awful diarrhoea after the second dose - not entirely sure if it was a side effect or a bug but it came and went really quickly (as it were!) so I suspect it was a side effect.

Still absolutely worth it!

Isababybel · 02/06/2021 11:58

I had mine nearly 48hrs ago but have had no side effects (except sore arm but thats unavoidable right? I can still sleep on it so its not as bad as when i had my flu jab!)
I was fully expecting to feel like death after reading threads on here. Maybe i wont be so lucky with the 2nd one!

MonsterMash2210 · 02/06/2021 12:14

I had mine on Saturday, my arm was unbelievably sore for 2 days. It also became really heavy and stiff for about half a day.

Apart from that I was absolutely fine and now my arm feels more or less normal.

x2boys · 02/06/2021 12:32

I'm fully vaccinated,no side affects either time,Dh also fully vaccinated with Pfizer no side affects either.

PurpleDaisies · 02/06/2021 12:33

Sore arm for a couple of days. That’s it.

BettysFondantFancy · 02/06/2021 12:40

I've only had the first dose. My arm was unbelievably painful - couldn't lift it above my head for two days. Couldn't even tie my hair back.
Then my armpit started to hurt and I had a large, red, hot blotch at the injection site. GP wanted me to take antibiotics thinking it was infected but a google search said they were reasonably common side effects.
I didn't take the antibiotics and everything was back to normal after a week or so.

Wanttocry · 02/06/2021 12:42

Had it Friday at midday, arm starting hurting mid-afternoon, and that continued until Saturday night. Saturday morning I felt a bit hungover - headache, nausea, general bleurgh feeling.
Severe nausea Monday night/early Tuesday morning, but I’ve no idea if that was related at all.

3JsMa · 02/06/2021 12:58

Had it on Saturday evening, sore arm for 36 hours,no other side effects.

Watercoloursky · 02/06/2021 13:07

I had my first Pfizer jab a couple of weeks ago - had a sore arm for a day or two but that was it. Sorry to hear you felt crummy, glad it passed quickly! As you say, it's so worth it - roll on jab 2 and, I hope, normality soon!

ApplesandAardvarks · 02/06/2021 13:09

I had my first Pfizer vaccination, late morning yesterday. So far there are no side effects other than a slightly stiff and sore arm but it isn't bad enough to take pain relief. I took 3 doses of paracetamol yesterday as a precaution. There's still time for side effects of course but hopefully there won't be any.

luckylady22 · 02/06/2021 13:12

Had both of mine too and just a bit of a sore arm so really nothing and so glad to have them and hopeful for a return to normality once everyone who wants it is done
So good to hear no deaths in the uk yesterday for the first time since last July !

mamakoukla · 02/06/2021 13:14

Had first dose on Friday. Upper arm was tender Sat-Mon. Chills on the Sat-Sun. Nausea and loss of appetite Sat-Mon. Still need extra sleep but feeling almost normal. Dread to think what a dose of COVID would do to me.

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 02/06/2021 13:15

Visual migraine the following evening, then a dull headache for a couple of days.

Lipz · 02/06/2021 13:19

Had my first three other day and had sore arm but nothing major, felt extra tired on same day but have been fine since. I did get myself worked up reading some posts on here, even changed my bed in case paramedics needed access 😂
