Pfizer strong nausea

Hothammock · 30/05/2021 20:24

I had my 1st dose of Pfizer 6 days ago.
Day 1 and 2 I had a sore arm and that spread to my neck. By day 3 that had gone.
But in had dreadful nausea from day 2 to day 5. It was at its worst day 4 and overnight to day 5 when I also had sweats.
Day06 and I feel normal again. Did anyone else have this?

I had my second Pfizer on a Saturday and felt very tired with a sore arm for a couple of days.

However on the Wednesday I developed an awful headache and nausea at work and had to take a taxi home - and the taxi had to stop twice so I could be sick on the road Shock.

Felt ill all that day and exhausted the next and then okay.

So the Wednesday was 4 days after my vaccination but it was a really strange kind of illness I hadn’t felt before in that exact way and I think may have been related to the Pfizer jab. I have anecdotally heard of other people vomiting etc - but not immediately after the jab.

Anyway I yellow carded my headache and sickness - are you going to yellow card yours @Hothammock?

I had mine five days ago and was fortunate to only get a sore arm. I am pregnant so have a lot of nausea anyway, but I did notice it was a bit worse than usual. However I can't be sure it was the vaccine or just ever-changing pregnancy symptoms.

Yep, I was quite nauseous for the evenings of day 2-5 with both Pfizer. It wasn’t as bad with the second, though.

Yes, nausea during first week after shot, still intermittent after 12 days. Also headaches and achy joints.

Hothammock · 31/05/2021 08:47

@devastating yes I have yellow carded it.
Your experience sounds very similar to mine. I had to take sick leave for the first time in 3 years as I just felt so awful! I didn't have a strong headache but I did have trouble focusing on things and concentrating.
I too have heard of people having vomiting bouts but it didn't get that bad for me. The only time I've ever had an episode of vomiting was when I had norovirus.
This felt more like extreme morning sickness or travel sickness.

@Hothammock - I had the loss of concentration and focus as well - I was trying to wrap one or two things up before taking the taxi home and it was like wading through treacle. Before I was actually sick it did feel like travel sickness yes.

I wonder why the jab causes that.

I had my first dose yesterday and am extremely nauseous today, feel like I have to move around slower in case it makes it worse. I'm really early in pregnancy so it could be a bit of both.
