Anyone else get palpitations right after Pfizer?

I had Pfizer vaccine yesterday and while I was sat in the 15 min wait my heart started pounding and felt really hot and dizzy. I almost told someone but didn’t want to make a fuss and then it settled down and now I’m totally fine! Just wondered if it’s a normal side effect...from memory I had a similar reaction when I had the flu jab I just felt really dizzy and fast heart but then was fine so maybe my body just objecting to being jabbed!

If you had the same reaction to the flu jab then it’s probably ok, I am not in anyway qualified to answer your question so maybe smash it on a form anyway? They can see then if it happens to everyone/a lot

No, I didn't and nor did my parents, in-laws, husband or anyone else I know who had the Pfizer.

To be honest that sounds like a psychological/stress/anxiety/panic reaction rather than anything physical. You would probably have had lots of adrenaline racing around your body, both from nerves, long queueing, and then having a needle stuck in your arm!

Then having to sit for 15 minutes in silence makes you hyper-aware of your bodily sensations. I felt slightly wobbly during that bit too.

you'll be fine x

The point of the 15 minute wait is so you can tell someone if you have a reaction like this - they always have a doctor on site.

That sounds like a stress/panic attack to me too. Op do you have a history of them?

My friend had similar but she’s a serious needle phobic so it was put down to working herself up into a state. Are you often a bit anxious about medical stuff?
