Jab today

I'm due to have my Pfizer jab this afternoon but I'm full of some kind of viral bug. I've had it well over a week now and just can't shake it off and I'm back off work. I am congested, keep getting headaches, I feel weak and I'd lost my voice at the weekend.

Do you think I'll still be able to have my jab today or will they turn me away?

A few more details for context: I'm nearly 20 weeks pregnant and I'm a teacher. We've just had our 5th bubble closure in under 4 weeks and I'm in an Indian variant hotspot (supposedly) so I'm desperate to get it and begin to feel more safe!

Presumably you've had a PCR test? I don't think they'd want you to get it if you are unwell.

Have you been? I think in your situation I'd rebook it for a few days time - before I went back to school but once you're feeling better. Probably worth getting a test just in case as well.

Yes had a negative pcr at the weekend as well as a negative lateral flow. Been and had it done now - he wasn't too worried about me still being a bit under the weather. Was more concerned about me being pregnant and had to get a 2nd opinion but all done now 😊
