@Katie517
I’m surprised people are listening to be honest! If it’s anything like last year or when people were in “tier 3 and 4” people just make their own judgments. You can’t lock down whole communities especially when a lot of people are fully vaccinated just because some people won’t take the vaccine. That really isn’t anyone else’s problem. I really feel for you though OP as you are in a no win situation if people are being told to not come out but you aren’t being given financial support to close! I really do wonder when this is going to end! If vaccines aren’t the end point what is?
🙄🙄people with at least half a brain are listening, it's the others that aren't and you can't argue with stupid 🤷🏻♀️
@calamityjam. I'm really sorry you're in the position, this half way housecrealky isn't helping.
They were arguing about it all in the House of Commons earlier.
I think they didn't want to be seen to be treating certain areas differently, due to the tiers backlash last time, but were struggling to justify not going ahead with the May17 easings in the areas with low case rates. So they're saying they did say people needed to take responsibility and in places where case dares are high to be more careful. Which it sounds like many are. Great!! But they need to be funding places like yours. I think they're struggling how to do this without 'rolling back' the 'irreversible' (stupid to have EVER said that) road map.
Hopefully hospitalisations will stay low, vaccinations will keep rolling out and soon they'll drop the messaging.
I hope they give you some additional funding soon!! (Like today).
I know it's incredibly shit, but I don't know what a better choice is right now
