I had my vaccine an hour ago, they asked me if I had taken any medication in the last seven days and I said no. It’s only now that I just remembered I had some ovex threadworm medicine yesterday as my youngest has worms! Is this something to just forget about- I’m worried it will interact with the vaccine now

Are you sure they asked about medication and not other injections?

DownWhichOfLate · 24/05/2021 18:33

Phone 111 and ask for advice.

LIZS · 24/05/2021 18:36

I was asked about other vaccinations in last week and blood thinning medications. I doubt otc ones would interact.

Superpanicky · 24/05/2021 18:38

Thanks for the replies. I don’t really want to phone 111, feels like I would be taking the p, I guess a quick call to the gp surgery to ask tomorrow will be an option. I was just hoping someone on here may know, you never know!

I work some hours in a vaccination centre. I 100% guarantee if you had told them that you had taken that, it would have been considered of no significance, you would have received your vaccine exactly how you have done, and there would be no different advice for you having had it.

Superpanicky · 24/05/2021 18:46

Thank you! That helps

@siju just book one as your first dose (make sure it's the same one) take your card see what they say but either way you'll get your second vacc.

siju · 28/05/2021 22:18

THANKS

siju · 28/05/2021 22:22

how can i add to record my ist dose in nhs record.? i contacted many places not clear answer.because its mandatory for travelling ,i am bit worried.thanks.

musicalfrog · 29/05/2021 05:02

I'm less sure about that but I didn't actually realise it was mandatory for travelling.

Is travel really necessary for you right now?

kimlo · 30/05/2021 13:36

@siju ring your gp back. Same thing happened to me and they emailed the details to somewhere, they rang me and sorted it. It took about a week. I had my second dose and the details were there after a couple of hours.

When you go to the vaccination centre take your card with you. If someone messed up putting your first record on they will be able to add it. Or even go back some time, not to have your vaccination & ask them to check your records & add it if it isn't there (pick a quiet time!).We had this on Friday. It took a while to sort out but it was all put on there in the end. The other possibility is that it just hasn't got as far as your GP record yet. You could call 119 & see if they can access the record.
