Anyone else have side effects to Pfizer 6 days later?!

I had the Pfizer last weekend and the next day I felt a bit ropey, just a bit out of it and arm hurt but after a day or two I felt ok. But today I’ve really not felt great, hot then cold, bit sicky and just not with it. My partner has a cold and thinks it’s probably the cold but I don’t know if it’s effects from the jab again?! Done COVID test and it’s not that!

I had 1st jab Tuesday lunchtime, and still not great. Spent 12 hours throwing up from Wednesday afternoon. Also got very painful armpit on jab side since Thursday - painkillers not touching it

Day 8 after the moderna jab I’ve got a painful armpit on the jab site and my legs and feet are covered in hives!
I’ve been given antihistamine and steroid cream for the rash :( !!

I still seem to be feeling strange today, tired , not quite with it and generally ropey! Today is day 7 since I’ve had it, I was feeling ok mid week so it’s a bit frustrating!

Yes, I've had exactly this! Had my Pfizer Friday 14th. Relieved to hear as everywhere online I've read says it was just a couple of days. I'm 9 days post jab and the hot/cold thing has stopped, feel better generally and managed a run yesterday, so I think it lasted exactly 7 days for me. Hope it stops for you soon too!

Yup, 7 days on and just feel under the weather - a cold/headaches which I didn't have the day I went for the jab. Could be coincidence? The side effects from the 1st dose of pzfier are definately milder compared to az but seem to be far more drawn out.

It's highly likely your immune system was temporarily suppressed after the vaccine and you picked something up. It's definitely a thing. Your immune system will kick back in, it's only briefly.

I was the same with Pfizer. Jab 1 felt like the worst hangover ever for 5-6 days, banging headache, sick, dizzy, aching. Then generally a bit ropey for a few more days. Probably not helped by trying to do home learning/childcare at the same time. Jab 2 was much better, first day was terrible, went back to bed after the school run (unheard of), day 2 rough, day 3-4 just a bit off colour. Still got a bit of a sore arm two weeks later. It's all worth it!

I've been so tired since but I can't say it's definitely related

Rainydays55 · 23/05/2021 13:49

Thank you everyone, glad it’s not just me!

I had mine just over a week ago (Friday) and first couple of days after felt perfectly fine (did a long run 2 days later and felt great). But this past week I’ve felt really tired. Cant say for sure if it’s that though.

I have read some American research that says side effects for Pfizer and Moderna can often come 6 to 9 days after vaccination. I think that was as well as the first 24 hours. Can't quite remember off the top of my head.
