Hi, I've been offered the Pfizer vaccination at 28+1 next week. I live were the Indian variant is currently around and my DH got his vaccine today and they offered me mine.

Has anyone had any side effects while having the vaccine and being so pregnant?

I initially was refused the vaccine earlier in pregnancy as they didn't know the risks and I was a student nurse during covid.

I haven't caught covid and I've been exposed many times through work and through our DS childcare settings having multiple cases.

I'd rather be protected as I'm approaching the third trimester and I'm aware of the dangers around covid and lung capacity in the third trimester so I'm keen to have it.

Just looking for reassurance I suppose Smile

Have the vaccine. There are thousands of pregnant women in America who were vaccinated with no ill effects and you will be in serious trouble if you catch COVID in the third trimester.

I had the vaccine a week ago at 34 weeks and am so glad I did. The data out of the US and Israel is reassuring and the risks of covid are increased during the third trimester. My side effects were minimal - a sore arm and a very slight headache the following day which went with one dose of paracetamol.

I had the jab yesterday at exactly 28 weeks and felt absolutely fine.
