So ds11s friend came home from his dads on sun night with a cough he said hed had since sat. Mum did a lft which was positive so she booked pcr for the mon morning and im assuming notified whoever you are supposed to. She got a msg a few hrs after pcr saying as postive test track and trace etc now actice. School sent class all nhs letter saying been in contact with positive case so havr to get tested and isolate till sunday. All fine. Then mon night the mum gets a further msg saying pcr was negative. School msgd everyone tues night saying no longer have to isolate and back to school today. Most of the kids had been tested by then and everyone i know is negative.
Why start track and trace on basis on lft if negative pcr stops it all? Original kid is to get retested today but if its postive will class all need to start isolating again after being back at school today? Seems a shambles.
