Sorry but unsure what to do and can't find definitive answer On NHS website. DD woken up feeling sick so can't go to school. Hubby due to go into the office today. Can he go or should DD do a test first? Thank you.

Vomiting without any of the three symptoms (cough, temp, loss of smell/taste) doesn’t need to be treated as suspected covid so you can carry on as you would with any other vomiting illness.

Thank you we did a quick test to be sure before hubby left for work and all okay. I was concerned as I thought vomiting and diarrhoea was a sign on children.

I believe it can be but it’s not one of the official ‘take action’ symptoms. I would observe closely in case she developed any other symptoms and maybe consider testing if she developed one of the three or another combination of less common ones (a persistent headache, sore throat, extreme lethargy, feeling generally unwell, rash etc).

I hope she’s feeling better soon either way.

By quick test, I assume mean the LFT (do at home, get the result in 30 mins)?

These shouldn't be used for diagnosis. If anyone does start to display one of the 3 symptoms, they will need a proper PCR test.
