What do the new rules mean for weddings?

We are getting married on Saturday and I wondered if, now things have relaxed a bit, can DS now sit with DD and her husband or does he have to sit alone still? DS lives alone, DD lives with her husband, DS is coming to our wedding alone. I hate the idea that he will be the only person in the room sitting alone as all the other guests are in couples.

From the above link -
"At Step 3, the guidance on meeting friends and family will change, with a greater emphasis on personal responsibility. Instead of instructing people to stay 2 metres apart away from anyone they do not live with, people will be encouraged to exercise caution and consider the guidance on risks associated with COVID-19 and actions to take to help keep friends and family safe.
You should always make space for other people to keep their distance if they want to."

I would take from this that as long as both parties are in agreement, your son can sit with your daughter and family.

Thank you, that is what I took it to mean but dealing with organising the wedding, a baby recently diagnosed with asthma, a car accident on Friday and a fiancé with terminal cancer means I am no longer sure which way is up.
