Confused for DH - 2nd doses being brought forward

Sorry if I’m being dim, but can someone clarify? DH is 35 but has epilepsy and has his first AZ jab on 7 March (so 10 weeks ago yesterday). I’ve just been reading about the second jabs being brought forward, does this mean he should be getting his second appt ASAP? I’ve just tried booking for him on the central website and it says he doesn’t need to book anything, but I’m guessing that might be because his first jab was organised via the GP rather than the central hub...

I'd assume he will hear from the gp. His second jab is due soon anyway. I had mine via gp and they sent me a link to book in with them 6 days before the apt.

I'm Group 6, had my first on March 10th with 2nd due 1st June. I've just cancelled and rebooked mine though the booking website for Weds, so a couple of weeks sooner. I was happy to wait until 1st June, but it's half term and I didn't fancy a trip to the vaccination centre with 2 x DC in tow.

Thanks both, that’s really helpful. A few people locally have been saying on Facebook that they’ve had to chase the GP for their second dose so I might get him to give them a buzz in the next couple of days to check whether they’ve overlooked him. The fact @edwinbear that you’ve been able to rebook for sooner as Group 6 going through the central system suggests to me that the GP should be wanting to book him sooner but who knows (he has a crazy few weeks at work from next week so he’d definitely prefer to sort it sooner rather than later in case of side effects).
